I am an Associate Professor of Economics at Ashoka University, India. 

As an applied micro economist, I work on topics in development, health, gender, demography and environment. My research contributes to the growing literature on the dynamics of human capital formation where I am interested to understand how early childhood environment shapes the development trajectory across various life outcomes( health, fertility, cognition, schooling, labour market outcomes and inter-generation mobility). Further, I am keen to understand how public policies interact with societal norms that guides investment decisions in human capital. My research primarily uses large micro-level data, often longitudinal, from developing country setting. I am also interested to look at measurement issues involved in survey data and the use of innovative survey tools in addressing those issues.
