Epsilon Beta is a club for high school and middle school students interested in the library. Its official name is Episcpoi Tes Bibliothekes: “Keepers of the Library.” Epsilon Beta is an affiliate of the Missouri Association of School Librarians (MASL)
Here at Southern Boone, we are looking to expand our club and work on service activities, work with the public library, and more! This isn't a "book club" this is an "I love the library space" type of club. Our fundraising goes back into improvements in our library! We meet Wednesday mornings in the library. We'd love to have you come and help us make the library an even better place to be!
Epsilon Beta participates in a variety of activities, including:
Book donations to local libraries
Teacher appreciation events during National Library Week
Social events
Participation in school events, like Homecoming
Promote literacy throughout the student body by reading challenges, reading incentives, and reading awards.
Annual community service projects that involves donations but not to a local library. The donations go to a local charity.
Coordinating activities during Banned Book Week, Children’s Book Week and TeenTober
Monthly shelf reading in the library
Attending the annual statewide Epsilon Beta Convention
and more!
