Joe Stanzione is in his 9th year as Elementary Principal at ASFM. He is an experienced homeroom teacher of 15 years, 12 in New Jersey. Joe has presented at the Tri-Association, Live Curious and NAESP conferences. Joe has a passion for social-emotional learning, values and character education. He uses books to prompt discussions about life, learning and all things well being. Joe was the recipient of the NAESP National Distinguished Principal Award in 2016.

DESCRIPTION:

There are so many great children's books and engaging strategies for reading books aloud virtually. Books can be a mirror into their own lives and a window into other’s. This event is intended to share titles and strategies that have thoughtful themes, topics and discussion points. We will go quickly; sixty minutes can fly by! Attendees will add comments or suggestions about the titles and strategies. If you are looking for takeaways and ideas about using children's books, this is your session!
