- Learning materials are shared via Unified Classroom.
- Kick off each day with a welcome video explaining what the day and week of distance learning will entail.
- Learning activities may be completed independently offline and online.
- Learning engagements encourage children and families to participate in tasks together.
- Art and creative design projects are intended to provide children with opportunities to develop creativity, expression and fine-motor skills.
- Opportunities and prompts support students to share their feelings, considering how they can manage concerns they may experience as a result of the change in their schooling and being away from their familiar environment.

- Assessment tasks enable students to demonstrate their understanding.

- Participation in Distance Learning is mandatory, beginning with Unified Classroom.
- Staying up to date is your responsibility. Meet commitments and due dates.
- Establish daily routines for engaging in the learning experiences.
- Identify a comfortable, quiet space in your home where you can work effectively and successfully.
- Complete assignments doing your best work with integrity and honesty.
- Communicate with your teachers regularly.
- Comply with ASFM's Acceptable Use Policy and Code of Conduct including expectations for online behavior.

- Check your child's Unified Classroom Portal daily.
- Actively participate in your child's Distance Learning experience.
- Establish routines and expectations.
- Monitor communications from your child's teacher.
- Be conscious of your child's screen time. Encourage free play time, physical activity and/or exercise.
- Be mindful of your child’s wellbeing; speak to them regularly about concerns or challenges.
- N-2 parents we encourage you to EMAIL evidence of learning to the teacher.
- Grades 3-5 students have capability to drop-in photos or share documents to provide evidence of learning to their teacher.
- If you are not able to be present during the day, consider installing Parent Control Software listed below.

- Learning materials will be posted in Unified Classroom.
- Share learning activities that are easily understood and implemented by students and parents/guardians.
- Provide learning activities that include time away from devices.
- Start the day with a pre-recorded, posted video welcome for students on Unified Classroom.
- Be conscious of students regarding social and emotional wellbeing related to the reason for the campus closure and redirect to the school counselor, if necessary.
- Provide opportunities for students to share their learning, relevant assessments and reflections.
- Provide reflection and feedback on the student’s learning.
- Teachers are available via email to answer questions about the activities, as needed.

- Support homeroom teachers with SEL learning and wellbeing activities.
- Serve as support for students and families.
Educational Assistants
- Communicate regularly with classroom teachers to identify ways they can support students and contribute to the learning.
Learning Support Teachers/SAL/OM and Inclusion Assistants:
- Collaborate with the subject or classroom teachers in order to plan for students with whom you work.
- Scaffold, modify or differentiate activities, as necessary, for students with whom you work.
- Communicate regularly with students you work with and/or their parents to ensure they have success with tasks.
- Provide supplementary learning activities for students you work with, who may benefit from additional practice to support their individual needs.
- Monitor student learning and provide feedback.
