Conservation, Wildlife, and Environmental Science

Ms. Suresh's Environmental Science groups deal with conservation issues with plants and wildlife. Our groups employ various scientific collection and analysis methods such as molecular biology, field data collection, lab specimen growth and care, and permit application.

Some projects that have been done in the past:

  • Environmental DNA in search of State and Federally Listed Species such as Steelhead trout and California Tiger Salamander

  • Bat roosting field work and bat box construction for increasing habitat for bats in urban environments

  • Soil sampling in parks to study how invasive and native plants change soil chemistry.

As there are countless conservation issues, the projects are endless. Join us if you are interested!
