So, we all us know that Computing Intelligence become an essential tool for solving complex problems driving innovation and shaping the future. We all experience the evolution of computing intelligence last year. All students and future professionals, you have the opportunity today to be at the forefront of this technical revolution to try different kinds of computing intelligence techniques. So, today's training is designed by Region 10. Region 10 EAC is not just to provide knowledge and skills in computing intelligence but also to inspire you with a curiosity creativity and a passion of learning. Through these sessions, you will be guided by Professor Lee, experts, and instructors to get involved in hands-On activities that will hopefully can change and challenge your minds and encourage you to think about creativity about how to support the real world through computation intelligence. Remember that knowledge and skills are important but it's more important is that you should think about how to transform lives, create new opportunities, and contribute to a better world through technologies. I thank Professor Chang-Shing Lee for the opportunity to participate in the opening of the 2024 e-Learning workshop at CcSR 2024 and the 2024 SPNIC (Strategic Planning and New Initiatives Committee) Activity being held at the Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan. I thank all the organizers and distinguished guests Professor Naoyuki Kubota (TMU, Japan), Professor Hui-Ping Chen (President of the National University of Tainan, Taiwan), Professor Takako Hashimoto (Chair of the IEEE Region 10 SPNIC and also the Director Elect for 2024), Professor Julia Chung ( IEEE Computational Intelligence Society), Professor Chi-Un Lei (Chair of the IEEE Region 10 Educational Activities Committee), Professor Mohd Hafiz Ismai ( University Malaysia Perlis, Malaysia), Professor Yusuke Nojima (OMU, Japan), Professor Ray Cheung (City University of Hong Kong), and Professor Li-Wei Ko (IEEE Taipei Section). On behalf of IEEE Region 10, I thank all of you for your assistance and leadership for making this event possible and happening simultaneously at Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Taiwan. I also thank all the eminent speakers and leading researchers who will speak on the topic of Quantum Computational Intelligence, Fuzzy Systems, Neural Networks, and Evolutionary Computation. Quantum Computational Intelligence is one of the topics actively pursued by researchers and developers on the Practical applications and solutions for real life problems. In today's workshop, participants will have the opportunity working with the QCI experience-based and operation-based learning with software and hardware tools. Today, our society has entered a world of knowledge and intelligence-based Technologies with many devices and systems improving our quality of life and broadening the business opportunities. And more importantly, many more employment opportunities have been opened up with huge demands of workers and developers who have the in-depth knowledge and understanding of the disciplines of Computational Intelligence and its applications. This is a quite new research field. I think this is a good starting in Japan and we do hope that it can be extended to multiple countries in the world. Thank you for giving me a chance to speak. I would like to first congratulate all the organizers for putting this workshop and school all together which spreads across multiple countries. It's a fantastic initiative to give students a chance to see a little bit of a different world meaning the computation intelligence which we know that everything right now is around the the AI and the language models but a little bit of a different approach to see world through the computation intelligence in the sense of fuzzy system and evolutionary computing as well as the neural networks up to some degree. And, this is where the whole thing started. Nevertheless, it is very fantastic to have that exposure to the young students to all of these techniques. So, I hope that they will enjoy it. They will see something new, something interesting and it's a pleasure to be a part of that. Thank you.

So, recently, the usability of e- Learning systems have been improved drastically owning to the use of generative AI as I explained in the opening movie. Now, we can know everything through the cross-finger, cross-culture, and cross-generation communication very easily. So, we can do it through this e- Learning Workshop. You know CIS we have several main technologies. One of them is Neural Network, AI, Fuzzy System, and also Evolution Computation which is used for optimization which for example to get the best model or best parameter of a system. So, these are all very important techniques within our current technology trend and these are all some of the kernal technology in CIS. On behalf of the IEEE Hong Kong Session, we would like to fully support this meaningful event. Hong Kong Section is categorized as a large section in IEEE family. We have over 5,000 members in Hong Kong with many top universities in this region so we glad to support Professor Lee and CI topics on this initiative. I would like to share two important aspects. Number 1 is in the past year, we already supported the event from CI and we have a student from High School in Hong Kong and they follow Professor Lee's journey all the way to Korea. I think this is a very important initiative that can bring our students into the international arena. Second point is that I'd like to share is in the coming April, with the support and Leadership from EAC Chair Leon, Professor Lee, and also the CI leaders, we're going to organize another event in Hong Kong.
