for my robotics final submition I did the disk mover challenge on vr VEX. For this challenge I needed to find a way to code a robot to go in each lane and get the colored disk and put them back. There were a total of 9 disk of 3 different colors, blue, red, and green.
I was trying to see if I could complete this challenge. This is because I wanted to see how difficult it would be to finish a challenge where there is a lot of code involved. Another reason is to see if it would be hard to make a robot that can pick up things for example trash and waste.
My disc mover challenge was very diffcult. It took many tries to complete. I was having a problem with the direction with the robot. Every time the left bumber was hit the robot was misdirected by one degree. My solution is to instead of making it turn a cirtain number of degrees I made it face a direction instead.
My results were success. I found out that every problem has a solution, my prototype is a robot that can pick up discs with a magnet. The meathods I used were to make a successful robot with somewhat simple codes.
My results are important. This is because they show that someone can make robots to reduce waste and trash on the enviorment.
I can extend this by making a more reliable robot that works every time no matter what terrain. Another thing is to make it in real life to clean real waste and real trash.
I got most of my ideas by trying and faling and trying another way to see if that could work.
The image captured important details from the movement of the robot, in addition to where the robot had to move. It's great that you had the opportunity to test this.
