My project(s) are spinning tops made out of lego. I tried to find out what types of materials could be used to create the longest spinning top
WHY?
WHY?
I was trying to answer the question of what lego bricks spin the best. I saw that the metal orb wheel worked the best.
HOW?
HOW?
I made a model out of legos and assembled all the pieces. Then I tested each tip of the top for how long they spin.
WHAT?
WHAT?
I found out that circular tips spin the best. This is because it has the most stamina and can rebalance itself.
SO WHAT?
SO WHAT?
The conclusions I can draw are that rounder tips will spin for longer. I learned that something needs to be balanced to spin well.

I could have made more tips and experimented more.

I felt the use of the tire treads in order to increase friction was a magnificent detail to add. It was be interesting to test different tops to examine if the rubber treads would increase the speed of rotation. LOVED IT!
