ASA 2022 STEAM EXPO

PROJECT SUMMARY

I built a physical representation of an underrepresented person is STEAM by using a bottle and styrofoam ball so they got more recognition for their accomplishments

WHY?

I did this project so that an underrepresented person in STEAM got some recognition for all of their accomplishments

HOW?

I used fabric, a plastic water bottle, a styrofoam ball, yarn and other recyclable things to make my STEAM person and made her uniform out of fabric and buttons

WHAT?

I learned about Grace Hopper's achievements and additions to modern technology as well as how she gained success

SO WHAT?

My results are important because they give credit and recognition to Grace Hopper and underrecognized computer scientist and navy rear admiral

WHAT'S NEXT?

what I could have done differently is I could have added more details to the bottle design and done more research about her life and what inspired her

This is an interesting way to educate people about a scientist whose contributions were valuable, but not recognized. I would have loved to have seen pictures of your actual project or some descriptions of the process you went through to make it.
