I did a hydroponic with Tinkercard
I did this project because it was for a social studies project. I was trying to answer what are hydroponics and how to build them, and how they work.
I did my project in Tinkercad, google slides, and youtube. I did it in Tinkercad for my models, google slides for my presentation and explanation, and on youtube because I did an interview with a farmer.
I found out that hydroponics are actually a great way of irrigation. So what is happening in the prototype is that the water pump is pumping water through the pipes into the glass box filling it with water resulting in the plants inside the concrete inside the glass box are getting a bit of water through tiny holes in it. All of this requieres energy, so there are 3 solar panels generating energy and not wasting it.
My results are important because it's a great way to show how a hydroponic system works and how it may help us. These mean a lot because hydroponics may be the future of agriculture because of how advanced, resourceless, and how it would help us. I learned that a hydroponic system is easy to build specially in real life.
I could improve my project by adding blue color to the solar panel so it would be more efficient. I also could've added a bigger plant system but it's good enough for the project.
I found my idea in plenty resources, I'm not going to state them because there are exactly 34 resources I used for this whole entire project. Someone who supported me for this project apart from my parents are a farmer, this farmer was specialized in hydroponics and was kind enough to give time to interview him about hydroponics.
This is a very nice model in Tinkercad with several different types of components that you had to combine together. Great job on the design aspect of this. I think the project could be stronger with a little bit more explanation of the science and technology of hydroponics and how you could represent that functionality in Tinkercad.
