In this project I did a possible way to get to Mars. I used a lot of techniques, and described all the things that you need for a succesful trip.
I think that we did this project since we could work with STEAM, Math, Science and social studies at the same time and It is something that in the real world they are trying to know how to do a succesful trip to this place. Some of the questions we were trying to answer were how much fuel do you need?, what velocity do you need to go to get out of space?
I created my project in google site, the main objective of the project was not to find the solution for a trip but just to find a possible way to get there. We did a lot of calculations in the math part, but the part that we needed to find the most of the information was the science part.
While studying the Mission to Mars project, we find out that the trip there is not impossible and that with the great minds that we have in earth we will soon me able to make a succesful trip to this place. We dind't make a prototype since it would take a lot of time, just some research about it.
I think that the results are important since if I was able to design a succesful trip to Mars then a lot of scientist must be really advanced in this subject and soon it will happen. I also learned how much has technology has advanced and that if this continue we will be able to colonize a lot of planets.
The way I could extend my project could be making a prototype made out of recycled objects here at STEAM class that could have the description of parts that could be used for a succesful trip. I think this could significantly improve my project and finish that missing part.
Most of my information and ideas I got from the internet, and I think that all of my teachers helped me a lot in this project and thats why I acnowledge all of them.
Mars is what comes to mind when living in another planet . I am glad you were able to think about this and worked on your math class, specially on the way we will travel. I would love to see this calculations and the projects in the other sciences you mentioned. Great way of thinking about the future! Thanks for bringing this current topic more alive!
