My goal throughout this project was to learn how to use a 3D modeling program. I chose blender, a graphics software, and modeled a 3D donut from scratch.
I created this project because I wanted to learn a new skill. To get accustomed to the program, I constructed a donut, which improved my comprehension of the software and the necessary skills to make 3D objects.
This donut required modeling, sculpting, texture painting, and composing nodes.
I found out that creating models and using professional software isn't easy. Making even the slightest mistake can lead to your entire project failing.
I would know about failure; I failed two times and had to scrap two projects before I finally figured out my scale was wrong, and I had to restart.
I could add more details to the donut, such as sprinkles, or animate it to turn somehow. Adding these features could allow me to grow accustomed to other features available on blender.
I found a great tutorial on youtube, which helped me immensely. The creator is blender guru, which created a series of youtube videos explaining the software.
Fantastic donut! This project made me hungry. Your work on Blender is truly impressive and stands out on the STEAM EXPO. What else could you add to this project to further enhance it - a cup of coffee? Sprinkles?
