Physics

In Physics pupils will be working on the 'Dynamics and Space' unit.

Topics in this unit include:

  • average and instantaneous speed

  • speed/time graphs

  • acceleration

  • scalars and vectors

  • Newton's laws

  • energy

  • projectiles

  • space exploration

All the important information you need for these topics can be found on the PowerPoint's that your teacher will add to the 'Files' section of your Science Team.

Use the information from the PowerPoint's to test yourself on all the quizzes that can be found in the 'Files' section e.g. 'True or False?'.

The answers for the questions are embedded in the quizzes - but don't look at them until you have tried to answer the questions.

If you want some extra work, there are homework exercises that can also be completed - ask your teacher for the best way that they can mark your efforts.

If you have problems accessing any of the files in Teams, (this is a problem when the system is busy), ask your teacher to e-mail you the files to your e-mail address.

There will loads of suitable videos to help explain the learning outcomes for the units of work to be found on YouTube.

A very useful website to help you is BBC Bitesize – the link is below.

Another very useful website for you to look at is scholar - details on how to access this are on the National 4/5 Physics teams page.
