So far this academic year, we have covered the first unit (Terrorism) and are almost finished with our second unit (Crime and Law). Starting the week commencing 11/1/21, we will continue this unit, consolidating our knowledge on all the topics in Crime and Law covered so far. We will finish off this topic the following week with an evaluation skill (Options). Finally, we will move on to the final unit of the S3 course which is Democracy in Scotland.

All the work can be found on the appropriate National Modern Studies Teams page. All pupils should already be members of their relevant Teams. However, if you are experiencing that they are having issues with accessing their Team, please contact us via our above emails and we will try to solve the issue!
Pupils can access Teams via most devices, e.g.: computer/laptop by logging into the Glow website, or by downloading the Glow app to an apple/android device such as a smart phone or a tablet.
Work will typically be given weekly and thus pupils will have a week to submit it. The majority of tasks will be up in the 'Assignment' tab in Teams - this will give the pupils a clear indication about their deadline as it should notify them of this. Pupils should submit work through one of the following options:
Submitting it through the Assignment (preferable!) This option allows the pupil to either upload a document containing their work, or alternatively taking a picture of it if they have done it by hand on paper.
Emailing it to their relevant teacher:
Miss Stevenson (3A and 3C): gw18stevensonsarahlo@glow.sch.uk
Mr Summers (3E) - greig.summers@aberdeenshire.gov.uk
Mrs McHugh (3F): karen.mchugh@aberdeenshire.gov.uk
Feel free to contact us whenever you need help with the work, either via Teams (tag your teacher in the Posts section) or email (see addresses above), and we will reply as soon as we can.
This year our S3 pupils have covered work that gives them the experience of National 4/5 courses. This should give them a good indication of whether they want to pick it for their senior phase next academic year.
