Welcome to S3 History Page
Course
In S3 History we cover a range of courses to build on the skills and experiences needed to move into National History in S4.
The courses we cover include:
1- Scottish Wars of Independence - We are continuing with this which was started during the first lock down
2- WW1 (Causes, Weapons, Home Front and End of War) - We have done this in school and finished this all already
3- Changing Britain (Health, Housing, Railways) - We will likely do this when we come back to class
4- Road to Appeasement (Build up to the start of WW2)
Teams
All work will be found on the Teams pages. It will be stored in the files tab but will be issued through assignments on a weekly basis.
If you find that you are not in a team then please email Mr. McWade using the email below. Include your name and your registration and he will assign you to the correct team.
Pupils can access Teams via a computer or on an iPhone or Android based mobile phone, you may need to download apps from the app-store to make the features work properly, but you should be prompted to do so, I would recommend getting the apps even if you are using a laptop.
Class Notebook
On Teams there is an app called Class Notebook where pupils can write their notes.
Pupils can access Class Notebook on Teams on a computer or using the Class Notebook app for iPhone/Android.
If you are completing work on Class Notebook it is not easy for the teacher to notice work has been done there unless they are directly checking your account, so if you have done work in there and you want it checked please email to let your teacher know you have done the work and it is in there, otherwise it will be missed.
It is not necessary that you do your work in notebook, you can do it on word and email it in, you can do it on powerpoint and email it in, you can even do it on paper and photograph it on your phones and email it in. The important thing is that you are able to do it in any format and that you email it in otherwise it will not get checked, you will not get any feedback and comments and you will likely get missed off on our tracker and it will create the illusion to us that you have not done the work, so please email your work in.

If you have a question or problem accessing the work please email or write it on the teams conversation tab, but please don't clog that feed up with memes, gifs and irrelevant chatter, it takes ages to delete it all and it means people with legitimate questions/problems won't get the help they need and you will be blocked.
