In Physics pupils are currently working their way through the Electricity unit. Topics in this unit include:
Current, voltage and resistance
Energy, power and time.
Efficiency
Series and Parallel Circuits and their applications
Electromagnetism
For those of you studying Physics in S4, it cannot be stressed strongly enough the importance of engaging with the work given to you by your teacher. The knowledge and skills gained by studying the above topics will make the transition into National 5 Physics much smoother – the more work you do now, the easier it will be for you to understand and keep up with the work in S4.
All the important information you need for these topics can be found on the PowerPoints that your teacher will add to the 'Files' section of your Science Team.
Use the information from the PowerPoints to test yourself on all the quizzes that can be found in the 'Files' section e.g. 'True or False?'.
The answers for the questions are embedded in the quizzes - but don't look at them until you have tried to answer the questions.
If you want some extra work, there are homework exercises that can also be completed - ask your teacher for the best way that they can mark your efforts.
If you have problems accessing any of the files in Teams, (this is a problem when the system is busy), ask your teacher to e-mail you the files dito your e-mail address.
There will loads of suitable videos to help explain the learning outcomes for the units of work to be found on YouTube.
