RIGHTS RESPECTING CHAMPIONS
At Kellands School, our Rights Respecting Champions (RRC) are leading the charge to embed the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) to improve on wellbeing, participation, relationships and self-esteem, in the spirit of our school vision...
Staff and pupils at Kellands School are celebrating after making the first step towards becoming a Unicef UK Rights Respecting School.
The school achieved the Bronze award and is now busy working towards achieving the Silver level.
The award recognises achievement in putting the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) at the heart of the school’s ethos to improve well-being and outcomes for every child and to help all children realise their potential.
Kellands School will join around 5,000 other schools in the UK working through the RRS programme which is a movement for change in the way children experience their school and their childhood. There are three levels to the award – Bronze, Silver and Gold.
You can find more information about the awards by visiting the Unicef Rights Respecting Schools website.
ARTICLE OF THE MONTH
As part of our Right Respecting journey, the Rights Respecting Champions (RRC) are aiming to help all our pupils and community learn about the articles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. To do this they are producing an 'Article of the Month' document that will be shared with all classes and put here on our school website. Please take a look...
