Hi everyone!
Kellands Eco Group has been working really hard this year to help make our school a greener, more environmental place.
We are working towards a Green Flag award which means we have lots to do! There are three areas that we are concentrating on:
School Grounds, Water and Litter.

We noticed that our playground did not have many spaces for different activities so we thought it would be nice to change how we use our playground and make different zones.
We asked P1-3 what zones they would like to see and we are currently making maps for you to choose where to put different zones. - Keep your eyes peeled!

Water
Water
We have been investigating how we use water in our school. We have audited every tap in school and found there are no water-saving taps!
We also wanted to start using rainwater to water our plants so we are putting together a plan to get a water butt to collect water from our gazebo. We'll keep you posted how you can help!
Litter
Litter
We have been out litter picking a few times and we are so disappointed to keep finding litter in our playground.
To help we are planning to get some new brightly coloured bins to encourage people to put their rubbish in the right place.
We are hosting an assembly on the 3rd of Feb. See your all there!
