5. Calculus: Differentiation
6. Trigonometric Functions
7. Circles
8. Trigonometric Equations
9. Recurrence Relations
10. Calculus: Integration
11. Logarithmic and Exponential Functions
12. Vectors
13. Applications of Calculus
Successful students can progress to Advanced Higher Maths.
Class teaching/Paired work/Group work/Investigative approaches.
Use of technologies such as Smartboard, Graphic calculators and TI-Inspire calculators enhance learning.
Investigative/problem solving approaches provide the opportunity for pupils to observe, explore, experiment and debate mathematical approaches to solve real-life problems.
There will also be a test containing exam standard questions in term 1 and an estimate exam in term 3.
There is an external exam at the end of the course in two parts. A 90 minute non -calculator paper worth 70 marks and a 105 minute calculator paper worth 80 marks
