You will study core accountancy skills including bookkeeping, recording and preparing financial information, indirect tax (VAT), management accounting, analysing financial data, and professional ethics. You will also complete a work-based challenge project and professional qualification units (AAT or ACCA).

What do I need to progress into this course?
The course is aimed at S5 and S6 pupils with an interest in accountancy. Entry is encouraged for learners working at SCQF Level 5 or above, with enthusiasm for vocational, work-based learning.

Course methodology
The course combines classroom learning (NPA units), a work-based challenge project, and real work-placement experience with employers. Learning is contextualised, meaning theory is directly applied to workplace tasks. Meta-skills development and reflective learning are built into the programme.
