Snacks and Meals

Snack

Pupils should bring a snack for morning break, most children bring either fruit, crisps, biscuit or bakery item.  We would suggest only sending them with one of these items as they tend to struggle to eat them and get time to play.   All snacks brought to school should be nut free,  we have several children at school with severe nut allergies.

Children receive a coloured band indicating their lunch choices, they approach the hatch and place the band on the stand.  They ladies then serve the children from the hatch.

The children sit at the tables once they have been served a PSA is on hand to support the pupils.

School Meals - School meals are free for Primary 1 to 5 pupils. The Council uses an online system of payment called iPayImpact – you will be given a code for this when your child starts. The School Menu can be found on the Aberdeenshire Council Website for parents to discuss choices with their children.  School Meals - Aberdeenshire Council Alternatively, children may bring their own packed lunch.  Drinking water is available each day, but pupils should bring their own water bottle.

They queue to get their food in either the stage or canteen.

Once finished the pupils take the tray to the hatch.  The ladies then clear the trays to be washed.
