Award-winning native Florida artist Kate Hall is a painter and a potter whose artwork is primarily ocean- and sea life-themed. She produces a colorful line of paintings with a unique style ranging from the highly whimsical to the deeply mysterious.
She reproduces her original paintings into fine art prints, notecards, and framed giclée canvas prints. Hall lovingly hand-embellishes her giclées like her originals works with Swarovski® crystal, gold and silver leaf, and metallic pigment paints.
Kate Hall also creates a line of kiln-fired ocean and coastal lifestyle decorative ceramic pottery including cookware, tableware, and “all occasion” ornaments.
Kate Hall has been painting since she was 12 years old. She sold her first painting at age 16. From the beginning, she has been fueled by a passion for the beauty of the world around her and of her imagination.
"I began my adventure at the age of 10", recounts Hall. "I would sit for hours recreating the illustrations on book covers with a plain number 2 pencil. I progressed to experimenting with oils under the influence of 'The Happiest Painter', Bob Ross."
"Since then my works have come to encompasse graphite renderings, watercolors, acrylic painting, air brush, and pastel, with a burning passion for mixed media works."
An avid traveler and explorer, Kate Hall has long been known to her friends and following as "The Artistic Adventurer". Hall kayaks, snorkels and scuba dives, including a dive with a whale shark and snorkeling with schools of sharks. Her travels take her to ziplines and whitewater rafting. She enjoys gourmet cooking and dining, abandoned buildings, and historical bed and breakfast inns.
Hall relishes road trips and has driven round trip from Florida to Texas and from Florida to Maine, taking in the scenery and people, the history, and each breath of life and living along the way.
Hall sums up her passion, work and lifestyle with profound simplicity, "Art both inspires my adventure and is yet, in turn, a result of my adventure."
