Team J
6/15/2020
Dear Team J Families and Students,
Congratulations, you are on your final week of 7th grade!
You received a new schedule for the last two weeks of distance learning from arms_principals@arps.org on Friday, June 5. This week, we will continue to work as a Team on the interdisciplinary unit on current events and racial discrimination that we began last week.
We will be using the time slots scheduled by the school for each of the disciplines to help students to identify action steps that they can take to address at least one aspect of this complicated issue.
This week, students will be finishing up their action step (due on Social Studies Google Classroom), reviewing each other's action steps, and completing an end of year reflection.
Our school counselors know Team J students have been learning about some complicated and potentially emotional topics, so they are available to support students if necessary. We encourage families to reach out to school counselors if needed and we have included information for accessing counselors below for your reference.
On Wednesday and Thursday of this week, Team J will have two virtual celebrations to wrap up our school year. More information is posted on the website and will be sent directly to students via email.
Thank you,
Team J Teachers
