Middle School Math Pathways
Starting in 7th grade, using feedback from their teachers and academic counselors, students can choose which math course best meets their learning profile and learning goals.
Math 7 is a grade level course that addresses the Grade 7 math standards, as determined by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Math 7A is an accelerated course that covers both Grade 7 and Grade 8 math standards, preparing students to take Algebra I in 8th grade. This course moves at a faster pace than the standard Math 7 class due to the increased content and rigor.
