About me

Hello Argyle West Family, my name is Amber Bridges and I am thrilled to be your Art Teacher! I graduated from UNT with a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts Studies (Art Education). This is my 10th year teaching Art. I reside in Argyle with my husband and three children. It is an honor to be working in my community!

In Art Lesson, students study a historical artist, learn the Elements of Art, and complete a final drawing, painting, or sculpture. Each art lesson will take between three to six art class periods to complete.  Students will rotate to a different Specials Classes every day. They will experience Art every six to eight school days, depending on their grade level. In short, I will see them about twice a month. We pack as much creativity and learning as possible into that time. I can’t wait to see all the amazing artwork this year!

Students will work with “messy” art mediums like watercolor paint, acrylic paint, and chalk pastels. On Art days, please send your child in clothes that are okay to get dirty. Some paints might stain. You may also send a larger “messy shirt” for them to layer over their clothing. Students are taught to use the materials safely and neatly, but accidents happen. I appreciate your help.

If you ever have any questions, feel free to email me at amber.bridges@argyleisd.com. I have Instagram and Facebook accounts to journal our art adventures. Please follow along! Thank you for allowing me to create with your sweet children!
