About me

Alex Singleton is in her 9th year of teaching. Mrs. Singleton graduated with her Bachelors degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas in 2013. She began her teaching career in Plano ISD as an assistant director at Robinson Middle School. In 2015 Mrs. Singleton joined Timberview Middle School as the 7th/8th grade choir director, where she taught for four years. And in 2019, Mrs. Singleton accepted the position of choir director at Argyle Middle School!

Mrs. Singleton's choirs have consistently earned Sweepstakes at UIL contest, garnering Superior ratings in both divisions of Concert and Sight-Reading. Mrs. Singleton has consistently helped place students into All-Region Choir, increasing the amount of student representation year after year. In 2014 she was nominated for the Texas Choral Directors Association Young Director of Distinction Award, which is a state-wide honor. Mrs. Singleton is a member of TCDA and TMEA, and is constantly in the pursuit of excellence.

Mrs. Singleton is excited to be the choir director at Argyle Middle School! She looks forward to continuing the foundation of excellence that has already been established. Her philosophy is not only to teach her students to sing with beauty, but to also instill in them the values of hard work, discipline, laughter, and kindness.
