Sra. Tristán
¡Hola! ¡Bienvenidos! Welcome to Advanced Spanish! I am very excited to be your Spanish Teacher this year and look forward to helping you strengthen your language skills while exploring the rich cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.
As the daughter of Mexican parents, I take great pride in my heritage and believe that language is one of the most meaningful ways to connect with our history, culture, and one another. I am passionate about sharing the beauty and diversity of the Spanish language while helping students become confident communicators and lifelong learners.
My goal is to prepare you to become a global citizen. In today's interconnected world, bilingualism is a tremendous advantage. Whether your future includes college, business, healthcare, education, travel, or public service, proficiency in Spanish will open doors to countless opportunities.
Honors and AP courses will challenge you to think critically, communicate effectively, and expand your understanding of different perspectives. I encourage you to embrace every opportunity to practice, ask questions, and step outside your comfort zone.
I believe in setting high expectations because I know each of you is capable of achieving excellence. Together, we will challenge ourselves to grow as confident Spanish speakers, critical thinkers, and culturally aware global citizens. I believe that every student can succeed through dedication, perseverance, and a positive attitude.
Remember:
"The Key to success in learning a second language is consistent EFFORT, active PARTICIPATION and daily PRACTICE"
I am committed to supporting you throughout this journey, and I look forward to celebrating your growth and accomplishments this year. Please feel free to contact me whenever you have questions or need assistance.
"One language sets you in a corridor for life. Two languages open every door along the way"
