Effective date: August 19, 2026
This notice explains how personal data is used when you complete the OM-01 international pet-move research form or communicate with us about that research, including if you are in the United Kingdom.
1. Who Is Responsible For Your Data
The data controller is Jungho Lim, operating the Argos Passage research project from Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Email: ray@argospassage.com
Argos Passage is the name of this early research project; Jungho Lim is the data controller. No data protection officer has been appointed. No UK representative has been appointed for this limited, occasional research experiment; UK participants can contact the controller directly at the email address above.
2. What We Collect
We collect the information you enter in the form:
• Your first name and email address.
• Whether you are an owner or decision-maker for the move.
• Your planned travel date, origin, and destination.
• Basic information about the dog or cat travelling, including number, breed or type, approximate size, and weight.
• Steps you have already taken and your current approach to planning the move.
• The difficulty or uncertainty you describe in your own words.
• Whether a research conversation or free early planning help would be useful.
• Your consent to take part and be contacted about this research.
Please do not submit passports, home addresses, payment details, travel documents, veterinary records, health information, or other sensitive personal data.
3. Why We Use It And Our Legal Basis
We use your information to:
• Assess whether your planned international pet journey fits this research.
• Contact you about a possible 20-minute research conversation, if relevant.
• Offer free early help turning the journey into a personalized planning checklist, if relevant.
• Analyse the results to decide whether this research should continue.
Our legal basis for these activities is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and, where it applies, the UK General Data Protection Regulation. Participation is voluntary. You may refuse to submit the form or withdraw your consent later without penalty.
We do not use your information for unrelated marketing, sell it, or use it to make a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Whether You Must Provide The Information
There is no legal or contractual requirement to participate. The form's required fields are needed to assess the journey and, where appropriate, follow up. If you do not want us to use the information for those purposes, do not submit the form.
This research form is intended for adults aged 18 or older.
5. Who Receives The Data
Access is limited to Jungho Lim and the service providers needed to operate the research:
• Google Workspace, including Google Forms, Google Sheets, and Gmail, for collecting, storing, and responding to submissions.
• Google's authorised subprocessors where necessary to provide and support those services.
• A competent authority or professional adviser only where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We will not give your contact details or identifiable form answers to an airline, veterinarian, authority, or pet-relocation company without asking you separately first.
Google Ads may be used to direct people in the United Kingdom to the public research page and will provide aggregate campaign information such as impressions, clicks, cost, and broad location or device reporting. We do not receive an individual's identity from Google Ads.
The Argos Passage landing page offers an optional Google Ads measurement choice. The Google Ads tag is not loaded unless you select Allow measurement. If you allow it, Google may set first-party cookies on the Argos Passage site to remember the ad click that brought you there. A conversion is recorded only when you return to the Argos Passage confirmation page using the link shown after submitting the Google Form. This method may undercount submissions because returning through that link is optional.
We use this measurement only to understand whether Google Ads clicks lead to completed OM-01 research forms and to evaluate the limited campaign. We do not enable enhanced conversions, remarketing, advertising-personalisation, or customer-data matching, and the tag does not receive the answers you enter in the Google Form. The conversion action has no monetary value and counts no more than one submission per ad interaction.
The legal basis for loading the optional measurement tag and using its cookies is your consent. Declining does not affect access to the page, form, or research. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through Measurement preferences on the Argos Passage page. Withdrawing stops future measurement and removes the Google Ads first-party cookies that the page can directly remove. Your consent choice itself is stored on your device so the page can remember it.
Google receives the tag data needed to provide Google Ads conversion measurement. Google explains that its tag stores information about the ad click in cookies on the advertiser's domain. The Google Ads click-through conversion window for this OM-01 action is 90 days. You can read more in [Google's conversion-tag guidance](https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/2476688) and [Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).
6. International Transfers
Google and its subprocessors may process personal data outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. Google states that its Cloud Data Processing Addendum governs its processing of Workspace customer data and provides safeguards under applicable EU and UK data protection law, including Standard Contractual Clauses or another recognised transfer solution where needed. Google publishes information about its subprocessors, including their locations and activities.
You may review these safeguards here:
• [Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum](https://workspace.google.com/terms/dpa_terms.html)
• [Google Workspace subprocessor list](https://workspace.google.com/terms/subprocessors.html)
We do not promise that all OM-01 data will be stored or processed only inside the EEA or the United Kingdom.
7. How Long We Keep The Data
We will delete or irreversibly anonymise identifiable OM-01 form submissions no later than 90 days after the OM-01 experiment closes.
If you withdraw consent earlier, we will delete or irreversibly anonymise your identifiable research data without undue delay, unless retaining limited information is required by law or necessary for a legal claim. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
We may keep research results that have been irreversibly anonymised because they can no longer be linked to you. We may retain a minimal record of a privacy request and our response for up to 12 months to demonstrate that the request was handled.
Deletion from active files does not always remove residual backup copies immediately. Google states that deletion from its systems may take up to 180 days under its applicable processing terms.
8. Your Rights
Subject to the EU GDPR, the UK GDPR where it applies, and any applicable limitations, you may ask us to:
• Give you access to your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Delete your data.
• Restrict processing of your data.
• Provide applicable data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
• Honour an applicable objection to processing.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing ray@argospassage.com. Put OM-01 privacy request in the subject line and tell us what you want us to do. We may ask for limited information needed to verify that the request relates to you. We aim to respond without undue delay and within one month.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens: [autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl/en](https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl/en). If you are in the United Kingdom, you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office: [ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint](https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/).
9. Changes To This Notice
If the purposes, tools, recipients, or retention rules materially change, we will update this notice before using existing personal data for a new purpose. The effective date above shows when this version was issued.
