Dear Parents/Carers,
We hope you like our new revised newsletter which we hope will be slightly more user friendly and an easy on the eye way to access information about your child at Ardley Hill.
The festive season is now in full swing and we are really looking forward to showing all of you, our parents and carers, our Christmas performances next week. This is such a magical time of year and the children and staff are working so hard on rehearsals as well as continuing their day to day learning; impressive work from everyone. It was lovely to spend last Friday evening at the torchlight procession and enjoy the Christmas singing and display with both the Lark Rise and Ardley ; we even managed to get up close to Santa this year!
It was lovely to see lots of parents and carers in school this week for our 'book look' event. Thank you if you were able to take the time to share this learning opportunity with your child; your children would have been delighhted to have you there. Don't worry if you were not able to attend this event this time around, there will be another opportuity for this in the spring term at a later time.
This week we have experienced our first phonics development day which is designed to help support us with the implementation of our new phonics reading programme (Read Write Inc). Our consultant was delighted with our progress so far and I am sooo proud with the efforts from the staff team to get on board with this new programme. As a result of which, the children are making brilliant progress already. Further information will be shared with you at the end of the term on your child's progress if they are learning on the Read Write Inc programme.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend and look forward to seeing lots of you next week for our Christmas performances; these moments with the children are so precious and we hope to create some fond memories for you.
Kind regards
Mrs Romina Lang
