What is involved in the interview process?
The Lead School (Arden Academy) will be co-ordinating the recruitment process. The interview process will take a half day and will take place in the school that you have applied to train to teach in. Full details of the interview process will be sent to applicants at least a week in advance of the interview date. The interview will include a short teaching activity, we refer to this as a micro-lesson, which lasts between 20 – 30 minutes. Applicants will be informed about the topic for the teaching activity and the age group/ability of the students. You will also be expected to carry out a 45 minute numeracy/literacy test. Following this you will sit a formal interview which again will last approximately 30 minutes. We will also give you the opportunity to look around the school, the relevant department and meet the staff who will be involved in your training.
