Our school was established in 1989 in Buca, Izmir. When it was founded, it had the title of being the only public school in Izmir that taught French as the first foreign language. Moreover, it was also the only public school to have a French preparatory year. Later on, French became the second foreign language and English was taught as the first foreign language.

There are approximately 1000 students between the ages of 14 and 18 (9th -12th graders) and 61 teachers at our school. In addition, our school has 30 classrooms, a cafeteria, a gymnasium, 2 conference halls, an ICT classroom and a canteen. The school subjects that are taught are as follows; Turkish Language and Literature, Physics, Physical Education, Chemistry, Health Information, Mathematics, Biology, Visual Arts / Music, English, History, Religious Culture and Ethics, French, and Geography.

Students studying at our school are primarily among the most academically successful students in the region. Almost all of these students are students who aim to study at university; therefore, they study hard throughout the high school years to pass the university entrance exam so as to reach their goal of studying at university.

In addition to being academically successful, our students are the members of the many teams of our school that have achieved many successes not only in sports, but also in social and cultural fields so far.

The mission of our school is to educate Kemalist individuals who are creative, have leadership characteristics, questioning and solution-oriented approaches in accordance with the educational needs of our students, are at peace with themselves and their environment, and who have chosen success as a target in all areas of life.
