Pursuing Wisdom, Preparing to Serve, Living Out God's Love
Introducing the APU Core
APU's new general education program, "The APU Core: Pathways to Flourishing," launches in Fall 2025! A reimagined curriculum will lead you and your classmates on a transformational journey that will prepare you to impact the world for Christ. New courses include:
Cornerstones — Explore the biblical story to discover how God redeems us in community and sends us out as His agents of renewal.
Cultivating Wellness — Build habits for lifelong well-being across eight key dimensions (spiritual, emotional, social, physical, academic, vocational, digital, and financial), with guidance and support from faculty/staff experts and peer wellness guides.
Visions of the Good Life — Engage with thought-provoking works of art, literature, history, and philosophy that inspire a deeper longing for truth, goodness, and beauty.
Seeking Shalom Seminar — Examine pressing societal challenges to gain insight into how you can contribute to the flourishing of those around you.
Calling and Character Seminar — Develop a strong sense of calling and a Christlike character that will equip you for lasting impact, both through your career and as a servant leader in the various communities to which you will belong.
The streamlined new program reduces the total required units from 62 to 54 while integrating a new 18-unit minor in Biblical and Theological Formation. As an expression of APU's God First mission, the APU Core invites you to wrestle with life's big questions, to embrace your calling to a faithful life of service, and to emerge as a thoughtful, compassionate leader living out God's love in all you do.
