Class Procedures

How we do things

This is how we work everyday in class. Following these procedures will assure that the class runs smoothly.

Coming into the classroom before class

  1. Sit down at your computer. You won’t be able to find your files on a different computer.
  2. Login and check for bellwork.
  3. Check your Gmail and open Google Classroom on the Chrome browser.

Leaving the room after class

  1. Log off of your computer
    1. The last class of the day will shut down the computers.
  2. Push in your chair.
  3. Take any trash and belongings with you.

Questions and asking for help

  1. Raise your hand and wait to be called on. Don’t yell for help.
  2. If you are confused or lost, raise your hand and speak up.

Passes and restrooms

  • No passes during the first and last 10 minutes of class.
  • Must have your student passbook. No passbook, no pass unless in an emergency.
  • If you feel sick, please leave the classroom immediately and head to the nearest restroom.
  • Abuse of passes may result in the denial of future passes.

This is how you ask for a pass:

  1. Raise your hand and ask for a pass when called on.
  2. Right up the pass in your student passbook.
  3. Hand the pass to Mr. Walder to sign.
  4. Go straight to your destination and come directly back to the classroom.

Turning in your assignments

  1. Save your file with the correct file name: Lastname_Assignment.file extension.
  2. Open Google Classroom and turn the file in.
  3. The instructor will grade and return the files as soon as possible.
  4. Check your grades on Home Access Center (HAC).
  5. Late assignments are not accepted unless approved by the instructor.
