2020 will be Mrs. Douglas's sixth year as principal at Voris CLC. Before becoming the principal, Mrs. Douglas worked as a school psychologist. Even though this year will be a challenge, Mrs. Douglas says that she is ready to help support the learning of our students in any way possible.

This school year will be Mr. Effinger’s second year at Voris CLC. Before coming to Akron Public Schools, Mr. Effinger worked as a principal, instructional coach, and teacher for Accel Schools. He is excited to see everyone and help the students in any way possible.

Attendance is always critical; however, it is even more important during virtual learning. The days will be busy so be on time and ready to learn every day. Attendance is calculated by hours so every minute counts!

Voris CLC will have many opportunities for parents to get involved this year through open houses, parent/teacher conferences, concerts, family learning nights, and so much more!

Kindergarten and 1st Grade Screenings
Kindergarten and 1st Grade Screenings
If you have a Kindergarten or first grade student, please schedule a screening by calling the school at 330-761-2773. All Kindergarten students will complete testing for vision, hearing, and pre-academic skills. This helps us determine if your child needs assistance in any of these areas.
