Welcome Monarchs!

About Ms. Porras:

This will be my 5th year teaching at Manzano High School and my 2nd year serving as the Mathematics Department Chair. I am also the co-sponsor of MESA and AP Ambassadors on campus this school year, so I encourage students to check out these organizations and take advantage of the benefits of being involved! Prior to working at Manzano High School, I earned a bachelor of science degree in Mathematics with a minor in Secondary Education and a concentration in Physics from the University of Texas at El Paso.

I look forward to meeting all of you and welcoming you to my classroom this year. Feel free to email me if you have any questions about the courses I will be teaching this year. My contact information can be found at the bottom of this webpage.

This google site will be a great resource for both parents and students to keep up to date with upcoming class and school events as well a way to access parent newsletters, classroom policies, and other resources that may help with mathematics at home. You can find more detailed information regarding required class supplies, grading policies, and classroom procedures in the tabs at the top of this webpage.

Note: Student grades, attendance, and access to copies of missing assignments in digital format, will not be on this website. Regular access to those resources will be through the ParentVUE or StudentVUE portals online. More information, assistance, and video tutorials for ParentVUE and StudentVUE are HERE.
