Meet Mrs. Hall Paulson, Mrs HP
Dear Parents and Students,
August 20, 2024
Hello Families! My name is Annie Hall Paulson and your students call me Mrs. HP. I’m excited to be here in Albuquerque, New Mexico working with your children at Osuna Elementary School. My journey to the Library at Osuna Elementary School as been quite exciting. I feel fortunate and well equipped to fill this important role.
I started teaching in Long Beach, California in 1995 where I was a first grade teacher. Since then, I lived and taught at international schools around the world for 24 years. I taught 4th and 5th grades in Egypt, 1st-5th grade in Ghana, 6th-8th in Panama and PS-grade 4 in China. I’ve been a classroom teacher, technology integration specialist, webmaster and physical education teacher.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication almost 30 years ago, then completed my teaching certificate in elementary education. I am currently certified in California and New Mexico. My Master's degree is in Educational Technology Leadership. I am an Apple Distinguished educator, Asia cohort class of 2011 and earned a Certificate of Educational Technology and Information Literacy in 2015 from EduroLearning.
My diverse teaching and learning experiences over time and around the world have established a firm foundation that lends itself naturally to library services. I have information technology and research skills that will enable me to support our 5th grade population as well as the foundational reading strategies and practices to support our youngest readers.
I am here in Albuquerque with my son, Noah who is a junior at Eldorado High School. My older son is a junior studying computer science at the University of Minnesota. My husband currently lives and works in Shanghai, China. I am thrilled to be the librarian at Osuna Elementary School here in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
I am committed to helping each child learn to LOVE THE LIBRARY and use the Osuna physical library, digital library as well as gain access to real and digital books from the Albuquerque Public Libraries. I’m excited to learn about your children and their unique cultures and traditions. I have consistently shown myself to be adaptable, flexible and committed to teaching and learning. I am excited to bring my energy and spirit to OES and I look forward to working with your students and partnering with you amazing parents throughout this year.
Warmest Regards,
Annie Hall Paulson
