Welcome Letter

Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year!  

I am looking forward to a great year this year.  I know this year will be wonderful!

Parents/Guardians, I will need your help and support this year to ensure your student's success in my class.  We will be using Google Classroom all year.  If you would please accept the invitation to google classroom as this will provide you with weekly summaries to let you know about your student’s progress.  The best way to contact me with any questions or concerns is through email at loretta.navarrete@aps.edu.  You can always call me at school, but know that I will not answer during class time.  The phone number to the school is 505-890-0343 and my extension is 37154. 

Students, welcome to my class.  We will be using Google Classroom as a means of communication.  All assignments, resources, announcements, etc., will be posted on Google Classroom, however, I will expect assignments to done the "old-school" way - using paper and pencil and turned in physically to me.  Even though we will not be using our Chromebooks 100% of class time, I do still expect you to bring your CHARGED Chromebook with you to every class.  

 I can’t wait to get to know each of you in the upcoming months.  I am excited to be teaching Financial Literacy and Algebra 2!  I do expect you all to work and hard and always try your best, but please know that I am here to support you.  And remember, as always, it’s great to be a hawk!
