I have been a teacher for 20 years.  In addition to kindergarten, I have taught first, second, and third grade.  My Bachelor’s Degree is in Elementary Education, K-8 from the University of NM, and my Master’s Degree is in Elementary  Education/Curriculum & Instruction-Reading from Grand Canyon University. 

I am married, I have grown twin daughters, a six-year-old granddaughter, and a little dog. They make my heart happy! 

In my free time, I love to spend time with my family and friends, travel, read, take walks, play games, and do puzzles. I am continually learning and I am a word nerd! Teaching children to read and to love reading is my favorite part of education. 

I strive to plant the seeds needed for your child to be a life-long successful learner and student. I ask you to join me in this journey. I encourage you to read to your child daily and provide your child opportunities to use their imagination and  PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, DAILY (without A DEVICE)!
