Welcome Students and Families!
Welcome to 5th Grade! My goal, as your child’s teacher this year, is to help them reach their highest potential, raise their self-esteem, and prepare them for middle school. You, as parents/guardians and learning coaches, are an integral part of your child’s success, so thank you in advance for your support of your child and our classroom!
This is my 10th year teaching. I have taught 3rd and 5th grade, and I am looking forward to working with your child. I truly enjoy teaching 5th grade, and I am passionate about working in education. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of New Mexico. I also have an endorsement in TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages). I have been married to my husband, Michael Jordan, for six years, and we have two little girls. I love to play volleyball and also enjoy running. I have two dogs that enjoy going on walks and lounging on the couch. Their names are Ziggy and Windu. Family is important to me, and I enjoy spending quality time with them.
Logging into Mrs. Jordan's Classroom
I am so excited to have you in my class! To get started with our class you will need to find your way to our Google Classroom. To do this, you will need to be sure you are logged into your APS account through Google Chrome. After you are logged in, follow these steps:
Step #1:
Click on the "waffle" (9 dots in upper right hand corner.
Step #2:
Click on "classroom".
Step #3:
Click on our "class card".
Step #4:
You will see this banner on the "Stream" page of our Google Classroom. You can access our Google Meet by clicking on the meet link. Morning meetings will begin DAILY at 8:05 a.m.
