Course Overview
Business Technology is an Elective course that provides instruction in a range of functional and critical thinking skills in a world where information is abundant. Life and Career skills will also be covered to help prepare students for a world where flexibility and adaptability are essential.
Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate proficiency in the use of computers and applications as well as an understanding of the concepts underlying hardware, software, and connectivity.
Demonstrate the responsible use of technology and an understanding of ethics and safety issues in using electronic media at home, in school, and in society.
Demonstrate the ability to use technology for research, critical thinking, decision-making, communication, collaboration, creativity, and innovation.

Class participation is essential to the overall success of students. Participation standards:
Be Prompt - Be on time to class, NO TARDIES!
Be Polite - Follow school rules and treat yourself and others with respect.
Be Prepared - Have required materials ready and be ready to learn.
Be Productive - Stay on task, use time wisely, follow directions, and do your best.
Be Positive - Be confident, be bold, and believe in yourself.

Complete assignments on time.

Grading Policy:
Each assignment in class will be graded on a point system. Most assignments will be worth either 10 or 20 points each and there will be between 2-5 graded assignments a week. To keep track of your child's grade in this class or others, make sure to sign up for a ParentVUE account.
