Mrs. Hahn's Oath
As an educator, I promise to lead students in the educational experience in order to increase their ability to think critically and become productive compassionate citizens.
I believe that I have been called to serve as a teacher and I love the energy, curiosity, and hilarity that tweens bring to the classroom.
I will build and maintain relationships with students and other members of our school community that demonstrate their value as a member of the human race.
I promise to work hard to create lesson plans that will enable my students to stay actively engaged in the educational experience and know that changes can be made before, during, and after each lesson to meet the needs of my students.
I will constantly seek to improve my way of teaching. I will strive to gain knowledge and skills that will enhance the learning of my students through collaboration with other teachers in my specific content area and through professional development.
I promise to never stop learning, for a teacher should always remain a learner, too. When I make a mistake, I promise to correct it and learn from it.
I will maintain order in my classroom on a daily basis so that my students will have the opportunity to learn without distractions. I will treat each student fairly and encourage students to be kind to all.
I will create an environment that is safe and comfortable. I will strive to maintain this environment so that students are able to grow.
Our school community is committed to Restorative Practices; not relying on punishment, but a more reflective, learning experience.
I will always try to lead by example and will strive to maintain high standards of professionalism.
