Credit Recovery/ Summer Learning
Mrs. Lori Ryan is the CHS Student Support Counselor, supporting students who are behind in their credits, need credit recovery, and/or some extra support.
During the 2020-2021 school year, Students in the Class of 2022 who have earned 11.99 or fewer credits as of August 2020 and/or need some extra support will work with Mrs. Ryan as their school counselor.

Credit Recovery Options: Summer 2020
APS Summer 2020 Credit Recovery Programs have ended as of June 13th.
All summer credit recovery will be offered online through eCademy and GradPoint.

eCademy Online Summer School 2020
Registration for eCademy Summer Program will begin Monday, April 20th.
Last day to register for eCademy Summer Program 2020:
Term 1: June 1st
Term 2: June 22nd
To Register: email your school counselor - Sophomores register by emailing Mrs. Stroka (Erin.Stroka@aps.edu) starting Monday, April 20th
Spaces are limited - please register as soon as possible
Students must have access to broadband internet and a computer
eCademy Summer Dates
Term 1: June 1 - 19
Term 2: June 22 - July 13
eCademy Courses
Students may register for no more than 2 online courses per term (2 maximum/term)

PE - semesters 1 & 2 *WILL* be offered online this summer 2020
eCademy online classes are NCAA approved
Students should expect to work 50 hours on each course
Students can work on classes throughout the day to stay on pace or work ahead
Students can complete the course before the 3-week term is over
Support is available to your student through optional Google Meet tutoring sessions during the Summer School terms
Parents/Guardians will be given access to Edgenuity in order to monitor their student’s progress and grades
FEES - eCademy Summer TUITION RATES: Per .5 credit course (for APS students)
$250.00 (non-FRLP participant and non-APS)
$125.00 (Reduced FRLP)
$ 62.50 (Free FRLP)
Tuition Rate for Non-APS Students $250.00—per .5 credit course (Non-APS students are not eligible for Free and Reduced Lunch Discount (FRLP)

A new application for free or reduced lunch rates (which determine cost of summer school) must be filled out every school year.

APS GradPoint Online Summer Credit Recovery Program
The APS Indian Education Program is offering the GradPoint Virtual Summer Credit Recovery Program online this summer from June 1st through July 9.
To qualify, a student must:
Be a current APS high school student
Have a 506 Form on file with the Indian Education Department and
Have a Certificate of Indian Blood on file with the Indian Education Department
Priority is given to students entering 12th grade in the fall of 2020.
Cost: The program is free, has no fees
Schedule:
Daily Monday through Thursday each of the six weeks, June 1st through July 9
Students may choose from either the morning session (8 am - 12 pm) or the afternoon session (12:30 pm - 4:30 pm).
Students must check in promptly with their GradPoint teacher at the beginning of each daily session.
Students are expected to actively work on their selected course for the entirety of each session until the course is completed.

Once parent/guardian has completed the registration form, the application will be forwarded to the student's school counselor to determine course placement.
Students must have both a counselor recommendation form and a parent-submitted application form in order to be considered for this program.

APS eCademy Summer Program Costs
eCademy online summer program costs are based upon whether a student qualifies for free or reduced-lunch status (even if the student chooses not to eat lunch at school).
A new application form must be completed EACH school year.
