Assistant Director for Community Service

Appalachian and the Community Together (ACT) is excited to announce a job opening!

ACT, an office within the Department of Student Engagement & Leadership at Appalachian State University, is looking for a dynamic and team-oriented person who will primarily coordinate Alternative Service Experiences, recruit and train ASE Peer Leaders, and work with faculty and staff learning partners.

Expectations include:

Coordinating the Alternative Service Experience program offered at Appalachian State University

Recruiting and training all student ASE Peer Leaders

Instructing a 1 credit peer leader course that spans fall and spring semesters

Coordination of the ASE language immersion program

Representation on the Service & Leadership Residential Learning Community leadership team
