WEEKLY FOLDER: Beginning this Tuesday. In an effort to increase communication within our Chapman community, students will be taking home a weekly folder. Please sign the bottom with your teacher's name and your child's name.

iReady Math: The major themes of this unit are: place value, comparing larger numbers, and knowing each place is ten times greater than the next place value, rounding, adding, and subtracting multidigit numbers.
WIT & WISDOM Language Arts: this month: In our first reading and writing unit, we will examine the complexity of the human heart. We will explore what it means to have a “great heart”, both literally and figuratively.
AMPLIFY Science: For our first science unit, students investigate the role that animal senses, primarily vision, play in survival as they try to understand a realistic fictional problem with a real organism.

ME BAGS: Due tomorrow, September 2nd. Heads-up! We'll be sharing our "Me Bags" in class on Tuesday. Click the link to find out more about this activity. I have handed out bags along with the directions to the students. I encourage parent/guardians to help your child. I also encourage the students practice with you what they will say about each item in the bag. It's a lot of fun.

WELCOME! I'm very excited to meet all of you and begin an amazing year together. The students use Mr. B., but parents can use Kevin or Mr. Bush. Please read carefully the items below.
