13th Edition

(Taylor's Version)

Cover Letter

Welcome to the thirteenth edition of Timothy Edwards Middle School’s literary magazine Out of the Blue! We are so excited to have celebrated the work of TE students and staff for thirteen years now!

Our magazine is produced by a club open to all TEMS students who work to write, draw, create, collect, compile, and design what you are about to read. There is so much talent in TE! Out of the Blue is proud to grow and expand each year as we publish the creative efforts of Timothy Edwards’ students, staff, and alumni.

This year, we tried something completely new. Thanks to the genius of 7th grader Ishanvi Mohapatra, we were able to put our magazine completely on a website. We are excited to try this new format and are very thankful to Ishanvi for all the time and effort she put in.

The Out of the Blue staff would like to thank the many people who make this magazine possible. First, we would like to thank Ms. Olsen for her time and effort towards producing the magazine and facilitating our club meetings. We especially like the ice breakers she uses each club meeting to make us laugh and get to know each other better.  We would also like to thank Dr. Carter for her ongoing support of our magazine. Further thanks goes to our building administrators: Mrs. Irwin, Mr. Leòn, Mrs. Mafe, and Mr. Clifton. We would also like to thank Mr. Rymarzick and Mr. McDermott for their support of our club’s endeavors to raise funds this year through our recycling program. More thanks go out to the many teachers who encourage their students to contribute to the magazine such as Mrs. Goodale and to Mr. Goric who always support us on the fabulous TETV News!

We would also like to thank the awesome members of our recycling team who work so hard to help us raise funds for our club. Many thanks to Julia Baron, Kaitlyn Earley, Disha Gottam, Josie Hunt, Tanisha Lakshmanan, Sahasra Natti, Maria Puniello, and Julia Thorne.

Finally, we would also like to acknowledge and thank the PTO for supporting our magazine each and every year. We could not make our magazine as beautiful and successful as it is without their generosity and support!

We would also like to express our gratitude and congrats to Divya Nukavarapu, a 7th grader who provided this year's stunning cover art!

Most importantly, thank YOU for submitting to and/or reading Out of the Blue!
