Welcome! This is my 19th year teaching! Having taught Kindergarten, then five years of 3rd grade, returning to Kindergarten, teaching online for 2 1/2 years, and then going in person, I'm back online. I am so excited!
I always wanted to be a teacher. When I was younger, I was often found playing school with kids from the neighborhood and with my brothers. After almost completing a double degree in Accounting and Marketing, I realized that it wasn't want I really wanted to do. After marrying and moving, I changed majors. I originally received a Bachelors of Art is Elementary/Early Childhood Education at UTSA (University of Texas, San Antonio). Later on, I added a Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction through UNE (University of New England). After that, I completed my Special Education Certification and Endorsement through SPU (Seattle Pacific University).
My husband and I have had the privilege to live many places, including Germany. I still have family overseas, since my mom was an immigrant. My husband and I have two daughters, Elizabeth and Hannah. Elizabeth is a cardiac ICU nurse and Hannah is a graphic designer. We love to travel! When home, we enjoy spending time together (especially going out for coffee).
