Mrs. Bresnahan is a 2006 and 2007 graduate of the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. She holds both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Music Education with a concentration in Voice. While at SUNY Potsdam, Mrs. Bresnahan was active as a student conductor of treble and mixed choirs at the collegiate level under Dr. Rebecca Reames.
Mrs. Bresnahan is a member of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA), as well as the A Cappella Education Association (AEA) and the Technology Institute for Music Educators (TI:ME). Mrs. Bresnahan serves as the Vice President of the Dutchess County Music Educators Association (DCMEA) and is pursuing National Board Certification.
Mrs. Bresnahan has taught in the Millbrook Central School District since September of 2007. She currently teaches 8th Grade General Music, 6th Grade Chorus, 7/8 Chorus, 9-12 Concert Choir and vocal lessons. Her students are frequently selected for the All-County, Area All-State, and All-State Choruses. She is also the conductor of the High School select vocal ensemble, the Millbrook TrailBlazers, and the musical director of the High School Drama Club. Mrs. Bresnahan lives in Red Hook, NY with her husband David and two daughters, McKenna (6) and Riley (3).
