Vote for the fattest bear of the year! Some of the largest brown bears on Earth make their home at Brooks River in Katmai National Park, Alaska. Brown bears get fat to survive and Fat Bear Week is an annual tournament celebrating their success in preparation for winter hibernation. Matchups are open for voting September 23-30.  

We are tracking our favorite bears and voting here at MSC at the front desk of the library or online.  Come join us to see who wins!  

We will also have fun hands-on activities, free bear awareness coloring books, and an opportunity to see the bears in action on our live cam.  

This month, students and parents of all ages can vote for their favorite name for our library shelving cart, either in person or online. The winning name will be revealed at the end of the month.
