Trauma-Informed Healing Centered Pedagogy has been around for the last 30 years and continues to grow as more and more educators discover the importance of creating a safe academic environment full of safety, trust, and agency.
On March 10, 2025, I presented a workshop on Trauma-Informed and Healing-Centered Instructional Practices. Everyone is welcome to view the recording, and I've provided the slides as well.
One of the videos shared during our presentation is on understanding how students with trauma have "survival brain," and our role includes recognizing this and providing a safe environment to nurture a "learning brain."
