Hour of Code

The mission in the St.Cloud Area School District 742 is to create a safe and caring climate and culture in which we prepare, engage, educate, empower and inspire all learners in partnership with their surrounding community to be successful in today's and tomorrow's society.

Our goal with the Hour of Code is to Demystify Technology by showing how technology is innovating Central MN and give our community and students hands on experience while exploring the power of computer science, starting in kindergarten.

Many of our Hour of Code events will take place during Computer Science Education Week, December 3-9, 2018. Click here to learn more about CS ED Week.

Past Computer Science Events

Over the past few years , some of our classrooms and schools have participated in an Hour of Code through the collaboration of our elementary media specialists, technology integrationists, and teachers. Students have been able to experience computer science in their classrooms. Our goal this year is to invite our community into our schools, to show what technology innovation in Central Minnesota looks like. After working with students and families in our schools, we would like you to share your company mission and location with the goal of connecting how computer science is changing our lives.
